Hot! Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff Reunite

They’re back.

There are a few ‘90s duos who’ve managed to circumvent irrelevancy to remain quasi pertinent—mostly through indirect means. Kenan and Kel, with their hilarious dynamic accented by Kel’s classic lines, immediately jump to the forefront. However, as great as they are, this pair still can’t grace the bottom of another famed ‘90s duo’s cape: Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff’s.

Using their music as an entertainment world entry point, Smith and Jazzy Jeff put out famed hits, such as “Summertime” and “Boom! Shake The Room”, that garnered them—well, mostly Will—enough attention to earn the sitcom, Fresh Prince of Bel Air. We’ve seen the two constantly in re-runs of this classic show, but it’s been a minute since the two have assumed their musical identities in tandem. Welcome to last night.

Across the Atlantic in Blackpool, England, the duo reunited to an overjoyed crowed of 20,000 fans. The two entertained the pulsating audience with their classics, such as “Miami” and “Boom! Shake The Room”, and proved that age doesn’t always inhibit everything—the two can still perform remarkably well. Despite being Hip Hop elders, Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff demonstrated that their archival music still has enough pop to get a crowd moving. Just watch one fan’s Twitter video below:

Additionally, the two took the concert as an opportunity to preview new music—an EDM-infused track. While Will is probably better suited for jazzy, 90s instrumentals, you should inform your own opinion of the song by checking out the concert footage below:
