Coast Contra Release Their Debut Album “Apt. 505”
Four-piece rap group Coast Contra have been creating buzz since 2019, but things are really starting to heat up now with the release of their debut album “Apt. 505.” Their music has nostalgic elements, from crisp punchlines to old-school production, but also laces in modern aspects of rap, especially with their use of trap drums. It feels like the emergence of rap groups with three or more members has slowed as individualism is praised in pop culture. Aside from Brockhampton and Migos, there haven’t been many others who have achieved mainstream success. While nascent, Coast Contra is a noteworthy group that should definitely be on your radar.
