Trae The Truth Honors Nipsey Hussle With “Nipsey”

RIP, Nip.

Nipsey Hussle’s untimely passing left a void in our hearts. Taken far too soon from senseless violence, Nipsey’s presence is still felt through his music, store, the lives he influenced, the lives he saved, and those who continue to honor him.

Today, Trae The Truth, Nipsey’s former collaborator, released “Nipsey,” paying homage to his brother and the fallen legend. Using his music for catharsis, “Nipsey” finds Trae struggling to cope with this tragedy as he pours his heart into his lyrics with lines like, “Damn I never pictured you leaving, can’t stop the grieving / Every time I see your kids in my vision, you who they needing / We had to show the world you was pure, others deceiving / Now everybody saying it’s love, I’m not believing.”

While those who knew him and those he inspired will continue mourning his passing, Nipsey’s death has not gone in vain as he’s inspired consequential change, and uplifted countless souls through his motivational rhetoric and actions.
