Statik Selektah recently announced signing to Nas’ Mass Appeal Records, a label intent on proliferating hip-hop with integrity. Already home to lyrical standouts like Dave East, Boldy James, Stro, of course Nas, the New York-based label is an ideal home for Statik. Wasting no time, the Boston producer has already announced his debut Mass Appeal LP, The Balancing Act.

Taking to his Instagram, Statik announced that the album will be dropping this summer, and will be a joint partnership between Mass Appeal, Roc Nation, and Showoff; Statik is currently engaged in a management deal with Roc Nation, and Showoff is his marketing arm.

In a Billboard interview, Statik told them how elated he is to be joining the ranks of Mass Appeal, commenting, “Mass Appeal and I have always seen eye to eye with how Hip Hop should be represented, and this album is another chapter in that. Bringing my management team at Roc Nation in with Mass Appeal is aligning two of the most authentic brands in Hip Hop to ever do it.”

The Balancing Act will be Statik’s ninth studio album, following 2017’s 8.
