JAY-Z Pays Tribute To Nipsey At ‘B Sides 2’ Concert
RIP, Nip.
It’s no secret that JAY-Z’s pockets are deep. The near billionaire’s storied business portfolio is as expansive as it is deep, encapsulating ownership positions in alcohol brands, streaming services, entertainment management firm, and more. Recently, he supplemented that portfolio by purchasing and re-opening the iconic Webster Hall in New York, conducting the grand opening through the most Jay way possible: by putting on an incredible show, B Sides 2.
Joining Hov at this April 26th concert were a collection of New York’s finest, like Nas and Cam’ron. And while this was an Empire State affair, Jay made sure to pay tribute to one of hip-hop’s fallen soldiers, the Crenshaw ambassador, Nipsey Hussle.
Taking center stage in his tux and carefree hair, Jay rapped a new freestyle paying tribute to the late Nip.
Additionally, the show’s DJ played a collection of Nipsey’s classics, keeping his name alive in the face of this tragedy.
