Announced a little over one-week-ago, New York kings Dave East and Styles P have made good on their promise to deliver a joint album, Beloved.
Two men who respect each other’s craft, East and Styles not only make for a complementary pairing because of mutual adoration, they pair well together because they share a lyrical pursuit doused in a classic New York edge; they’re two men with artistic integrity. This album’s soulfulness is palpable from the opening eponymous track.
With only four features throughout the 13-track album, including the closing joint with The Lox, Beloved is a true lyrical exhibition sparring match between East and P.
