Featuring Mozzy and T.I..

Finally, the week’s drawing to a close. Not only does that mean that the majority will celebrate two days free of work, it also means that we’ve got another chapter of “New Music Friday” to enjoy. Today’s edition is a loaded one: Mozzy has given us a dose of his Cali-infused perspective on Gangland Landlord; T.I. has returned with his 10th solo studio LP, Dime Trap.

Malcolm Gladwell famously wrote in his 2008-published book, Outliers, that one must dedicate approximately 10,000 hours towards perfecting their craft. Sacramento’s Mozzy is well-accustomed with that notion, as Gangland Landlord is the 21st project for the 31-year-old artist. Forging a relentless pursuit towards his materializing his musical dreams, Mozzy has intrepidly navigated the independent circuit for the majority of his career, leading to his partnership with the San Francisco-based distributor and label Empire, who collaborated on his Gangland Landlord release.

One man who is the prime embodiment of longevity is the self-proclaimed trap music originator, T.I., who released his 10th solo studio LP, Dime Trap, today. A 15-track project, Dime Trap is a testament to T.I.’s durability and influence on the game, as it features an eclectic mix of guest artists, like: Young Thug, Yo Gotti, Anderson .Paak, Jeezy, YFN Lucci, Meek Mill, Teyana Taylor, among many more.
