Stro Links With Statik Selektah on “Know The Stro”

Brooklyn’s Stro might only be in his early 20s, but if you’ve never seen or met the kid before, and only judged him musically, then you would think he grew-up in Reagan’s America. But, Stro didn’t grow up during the ‘80s crack epidemic–his adolescence only slightly predates the dotcom bust. However, Stro cites New York legends, like Big and Nas, as major influences, and almost through osmosis, his sound captures the same rugged grit that his idols helped mint. Demonstrating these advanced mic skills, Stro recently linked with hip-hop legend, Statik Selektah, on their new track, “Know The Stro”.
