Hot! Snoop Dogg’s New Album is #1 on Top Gospel Charts

Snoop scores big with Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love.

While he’s heralded for his advancement of gangsta rap, and hip-hop at large, that doesn’t typecast Snoop Dogg–his brand is too powerful for that. The man who once changed his name to Snoop Lion to complement his Rastafari conversion and newfound reggae aesthetic, which he killed by the way, is also the man who recently made the switch to gospel music. Yes, Snoop Dogg, the “Gin and Juice” MC, released a gospel album–and it’s currently charting at number-one on the top gospel albums chart.

Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love is a 32-song album, two-hours and 14-minutes, that is loaded with star features and a plethora of soul. Joining Snoop on his gospel conquest are Charlie Wilson, Daz Dillinger, Erica Campbell, Marvin Sapp, amongst others. It’s truly remarkable to watch a man enjoy so much longevity. I doubt it’ll stop anytime soon.
