Rakim, Ghostface, & Others to Appear in ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2
It’s going to be a great season.
In the same vein as the culturally-engulfing event that is Black Panther, Netflix’s Luke Cage is a progression into evening entertainment’s seismic racial wedge. By choosing a black man as the protagonist, and centering the show around black culture, this palpable racial divide is starting to thin–starting. With a new season around the corner, there is some exciting news for hip-hop Luke Cage fans.
Joining leading man, Mike Colter, will be musical appearances from Ghostface Killah, Rakim, Jadakiss, KRS-One, and many more. Injecting these rap legends’ presence into this show will harmonize the pursuit of creating a black-focused show in a predominantly white space.
The new season of Luke Cage is scheduled to air on June 22nd.
