Alternative rap group Nappy Roots has always managed to offer a unique perspective on pressing issues. From “Po’Folks,” which explores the literal and figurative hardships of poverty, to “Roun’ The Globe,” which provides a worldly perspective, the Kentucky collective has consistently used their art to help affect change by inciting conversation. In the wake of hte most recent evidence of police brutality and systemic racism, Nappy Roots released “Blind Faith” — a reflection of the willingness to overcome obstacles.
