Helmed by label leader, Nas.

Today, February 5th, New York-based record label and media arm Mass Appeal has come through with their ensemble release, Starting 5: Volume 1. Lead by label-leader and investor, Nas, the compilation is an eight-track endeavor that features Mass Appeal’s best and brightest–both well knowns and pleasant surprises.

The EP’s lead track, “Apostles”, contains the lone Nas feature, which plays alongside fellow artists Fashawn and Ezri. The two are featured throughout the project’s remainder, but their lone direct collaboration comes on this first song.

Painting an age contrast, Stro, the Brooklynite who’s had success both musically and theatrically, is joined by fellow young artist 070 Phi–a member of 070 Shake’s crew–on the EP’s second song, “I Had Enough”.
