Plus releases from Earl Sweatshirt and Westside Gunn.

Today is a special “New Music Friday.” Not only have Westside Gunn and Earl Sweatshirt come through with new albums, but it also marks the first Gang Starr album in 16-years, One Of The Best Yet.

Honoring the late MC Guru, who passed away from cancer in April ‘10,Gang Starr has returned with their first album in 16-years with One Of The Best Yet. The new Gang Starr offering is an amalgamation of posthumous Guru verses, vintage DJ Premier production, and stunning guest verses — including J. Cole, Royce Da 5’9”, Ne-Yo, Talib Kweli, and more. RIP, Guru.

Next up, we’ve got Earl Sweatshirt. Around midday yesterday, October 31st, Earl elated fans with a surprise album announcement for his fourth official studio LP, Feet of Clay. A succinct seven-track project, spanning only 15-minutes, the Some Rap Songs successor continues Earl’s voyage into avant-garde hip-hop; idiosyncratic instrumentals structure Earl’s pensive lyricality en route to painting his abstract sonic mural.

Rounding out the album releases is the thoroughbred rhymer, Westside Gunn, with Hitler Wears Hermes 7. The Griselda MC is joined by his fellow Gang members (Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine), Curren$y, Boldy James, Fat Joe, and more.
