Hot! Facebook Announces Instagram Video: What You Need To Know

 

Twitter’s video app Vine has been gaining a lot of users lately but today Facebook, who bought Instagram for $1 billion, just announced Instagram Video, here is what we know so far, courtesy of Mashable.

 

– Instagram video is already available on iOS and Android, just go to the App Store and update the app.

– Videos can be 15 seconds (3 seconds minimum) and they don’t loop

– “Cinema” will stablize video shot with Instagram

– 13 brand new filters designed for video only

– Easy to access on the web

– You can select your own favorite frame from your video to be the cover photo that appears in the Instagram feed

– It’s the same screen, but with a video button at the bottom beside the camera icon

– You can also delete individual clips as you go, that might not be what you want them to be

– In version 1 of the app you’ll only be able to shoot video from within the app, you can’t import from your camera roll
