Dr. Dre’s ‘The Chronic’ Inducted Into Library Of Congress

Congrats, Dre!

It’s a beautiful, momentous day for hip-hop, as Dr. Dre’s classic The Chronic has been inducted into the Library of Congress.

Announced earlier today (March 25th), Library of Congress shared that Dre’s 1992 LP is now officially a part of National Recording Register; Selena, Tina Turner, The Village People, among others, were also inducted.

The Library of Congress serves as a research arm of congress, acting as the country’s oldest federal cultural institution. Considering the undeniable cultural impact of The Chronic, Dr. Dre’s famed album is an apt addition to this decorated collection.

Congrats, Dr. Dre!
