No label? No problem for emcee Dizzy Wright.

An uncertain label situation won’t stop Flint, Michigan’s Dizzy Wright from turning heads. After Funk Volume’s co-founders, Hopsin and Dame Ritter, aired out their dirty laundry, the 2009-founded Warner Bros. label went defunct, leaving their prized emcee, Dizzy, without any representation. Like I said, this didn’t stop him from channeling greatness.

On August 11th, the 26-year-old spitter dropped his highly-anticipated third studio album, The Golden Age 2. Following his 2015 The Growing Process release, this album marks the first solo endeavor for Wright since signing with Funk Volume. Absent label backing didn’t preclude Dizzy from recruiting strong features that suit his traditional Hip Hop approach, including Big K.R.I.T. and Demrick.

The 18-track project is a testament to one’s resilience and defiant vision. Dizzy can’t be stopped, he won’t be stopped.
