Although Pimp C is no longer with us — his untimely passing came in 2007 — his music lives on forever. And with rumors of a posthumous Pimp C album swirling for years, it looks as though it’s finally going to happen. Mass Appeal, the label responsible for by Run the Jewels’ awesome sophomore album, will be putting out Long Live the Pimp, an album put together by Pimp’s widow, Chinara Butler. The project will feature guest spots from Bun B, Nas, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, T.I., 8Ball & MJG, Devin the Dude, and many more. You can listen to the Lil Wayne-assisted “3 Way Freak” after the jump. Long Live the Pimp will be out December 4th via Mass Appeal.
Lil Wayne is teaming up with Charlie Puth for a collaborative track. The track, “Nothing But Trouble,” will appear on the documentary 808, which tells the inspiring story of the Roland TR808. Puth previously collaborated with Wiz Khalifa for the chart-topping Paul Walker tribute, “See You Again.” Wayne will also be dropping his Free Weezy Album soon (July 4th, apparently.) Peep “Nothing But Trouble” after the jump.
Lil Wayne is dropping off the visuals for his Sorry 4 the Wait 2 mixtape opener “CoCo” as he is embarking upon a nationwide tour in support of the tape. Check out the arresting (no pun intended) visuals from Weezy after the jump.
