Declaring one’s GOAT status is commonplace in hip-hop–well, in most competitive fields. While consensus agrees that the elusive crown belongs somewhere on either Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z, or Kendrick’s head, others have their own king in mind.
Delivering a rewind-worthy freestyle recently, Yelawolf took his “Elvis Messy” track to assert himself as the Muhammed Ali of hip-hop. He raps, “I write my flows like a fighter / These are punches being thrown / To your nose, duck and jab / Leaving blood patterns on the clothes / I might be white Muhammed Ali / As-salamu alaykum, here for the feast.”
