In a country divided, peace is at a premium; anarchy is running rampant. Last week’s repugnant display of insurrection put the nail in the coffin of Trump’s bigotted presidency, extinguishing any doubt that he has a shred of moral fiber. And with such despair, art is always there holding a mirror — whether to expose the ugly truths, or to offer an unseen angel. On Will.i.am’s newest song, “American Dream,” he offers some semblance of hope.
