Westside Gunn Releases ‘Flygod Is An Awesome God’

The Flygod continues demonstrating his lyrical chops.

The prolific Griselda Gang MC, Westside Gunn, might have just released his Fourth Rope project in April, but that doesn’t mean he’s curtailing his output — not by a longshot. This past weekend, the Buffalo native came through with his new mixtape, Flygod Is An Awesome God.

One of Westside’s aliases, “Flygod” is the anchor that Westside has built his career around. In 2012, the 36-year-old lyricist delivered his debut, critically-acclaimed, studio album under the same name. Now, he continues the “Flygod” legacy with Flygod Is An Awesome God.

Coming in at 12-tracks, 32-minutes, Flygod Is An Awesome God provides further evidence of why Eminem signed him and his brother Conway back in March ‘17. It’s a testament to preserving hip-hop’s integrity while simultaneously showing that auntehtinc poetry still has a place and demand in today’s landscape.
