Wale Unveils “Black Bonnie” Video

Off his It’s Complicated EP.

In March, Wale released his four-track It’s Complicated EP, his second to last project prior to inking a Warner Bros. deal in May. The EP’s only track with a featured artist, Jacquees on “Black Bonnie”, has recently received a politically-charged video.

Detailing a dynamic love affair, Wale uses the video to detail a reincarnated romance that takes on different characters and appearances throughout the song and visual. From protecting his girl from the FBI while dressed as a Black Panther to more modern day characters, “Black Bonnie” exposes the viewer to the deep nooks and crannies of Wale’s mind.
