The Alchemist Taps ScHoolboy Q On “W.Y.G.D.T.N.S.”

“Alchemist my favorite producer, and he my friend,” ScHoolboy Q raps on CrasH Talk’s closing track, “Attention,” while reflecting on the notoriety he’s garnered by legends throughout his career. Now, it looks like the two have linked up, as The Alchemist has just come through with a new joint featuring Q, “W.Y.G.D.T.N.S.”
In classic Alchemist fashion, “W.Y.G.D.T.N.S.” is a smooth and jazzy offering that provides Q with a softer soundscape than usual, allowing the L.A. rapper to demonstrate his musical range. While ScHoolboy Q has developed a devout fan base through his reformed gangster tales, menacing rhymes, and party ethos, he’s also become an industry darling thanks to musical experimentation, acutely evidence on Blank Face LP.
With “W.Y.G.D.T.N.S.,” Q can add another sonic styling to his decorated resume.
