The Alchemist Releases ‘The Food Villain’ Project

As such a fiercely independent contributor, The Alchemist doesn’t bend to hip-hop trends — he bucks them. It’s why each piece of music he crafts contains unique wrinkles that go against the grain of what the industry demands. Such is the case on his latest project, The Food Villain, which he chose to release yesterday, Sunday, instead of the standard Friday release day.
The Food Villain is an interestingly-structured 16-track endeavor; no song is longer than 2:19, making the entire project only 24-minutes-long. Alchemist is joined by longtime friends and collaborators, Action Bronson and Big Body B.
