Here’s the first installment of the monthly WeGoinIN.com Cypher series. The first lineup is a crazy one that features a diverse cast of MCs that rip the 730 beat to shreds in their own way. In order, the cast of characters is: K-Sise, Ax, 100GrandRoyce, D-Black, Nobi, St. Laz, UnLearn, Tribeca, and Cashmere. The April one is currently in the works, so look for that early April.
For any up-and-coming MCs with bars, an extended version will be released at the end of the month featuring the dopest verses sent to the beat through Twitter to @seven3zero.
Brooklyn rapper Bk Cashmere is a charismatic MC poised to take the music world by storm. His music contains soul piercing lyrics, melodic beats, and hooks that will stay stuck in your head for days! He incorporates an element of realism and rawness that is authentic and seldom seen on today’s musical landscape.
In fact, the East Coast rhymespitter is rolling out a new hit record titled “So Much Pain”, which is featured on his upcoming album, “Ready 2 Live”. The song is a critical success and it’s receiving a great amount of attention from notable mixshows and college radio stations around the country.
“Due to the current events of police brutality in the cases of Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin, the economy and so many other things wrong with our society today, I have chosen to release the song ‘So Much Pain’ from my upcoming album,” explained Bk Cashmere.
Here’s the first new track Cashmere and I have recorded since our Beats and Rhymes project dropped almost two years ago. In a way, we’re picking up right where we left off – dope beats, dope rhymes. But a lot’s changed since our last album; the most significant change is the passing of Cash’s father, which he addresses for the first time in “I Know.” This is a special track for both of us, as Cashmere tackles important personal and social issues while we continue what we started.
When it comes to putting in work, Brooklyn’s Cashmere is no stranger. From grinding on the mixtapes back in the 2000s with game-changers like Kay Slay to taking the independent route with both middle fingers to the sky, Cashmere has meticulously mapped his own path in the game while building an organic following of loyal listeners. This past December, Cashmere finally released his long-awaited album Ready to Live, thanks in large part to new business partner and Sound Unity Entertainment founder DJ B.Original. In an exclusive interview with ProfileWild, Cash discusses his evolution as an artist, what it took to get Ready to Live out, his move from Brooklyn to L.A., and much more.
