Statik Selektah’s New “Bastard Child” Single Surfaces, Featuring New Notorious B.I.G. Vocals

It’s pretty difficult to conceal my smile while writing this — after all, this is something I didn’t expect to ever experience again. Recently, Statik Selektah released a new track, “Bastard Child,” featuring previously unheard vocals from the one and only, The Notorious B.I.G.

Duets: The Final Chapter — the final posthumous Biggie album that is a portmanteau offering, featuring mash-ups with the icon’s vocals and other acclaimed artists — dropped 15-years-ago, and with its release came the suspected unloading of all Big’s unreleased recordings. Not so fast, as Statik has managed to unearth additional vocals from the New York legend.

“Bastard Child” is further proof of Biggie’s timeless nature and superior abilities, as it pairs these stashed rhymes with production created 23-years after his untimely passing.
