Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth Announce European Tour

There are only several Hip Hop duos that have been etched into the genre’s Rushmore: Eric B. & Rakim, Mobb Deep (RIP Prodigy), Outkast, and of course, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth. While the latter pair has been quiet recently, they’re looking to change that with a recent announcement: the duo will be heading on a European tour starting tomorrow.
Smooth and Rock’s sound controlled the early-mid ‘90s with their projects All Souled Out, Mecca and the Soul Brother, and The Main Ingredient, all released through Elektra. They’re known for assisting pioneering Hip Hop’s modern sound through acute ears and musical acumen. They might not be in the studio creating magic anymore, but that doesn’t mean their old material doesn’t have any replay value—it certainly does.
On their last tour, All Souled Out Tour, which toured across six west coast cities, took place in summer ‘16 and enthralled fans with their classic cuts. I’m sure this time around will be no different, as the legendary duo is known for entertaining the masses with their addictive sound.
