Few MCs command the respect that Joell Ortiz does. With over 20-years of experience under his decorated belt, Ortiz has been finely woven into the hip-hop fabric. Throughout that time, he’s put out four solo albums and has been associated with four collaboration albums — with the slept-on joint project Mona Lisa with Apollo Brown. Now, Ortiz is getting ready for his upcoming release, Monday, by dropping off the single “Learn You” with Big K.R.I.T.

A soulful offering, “Learn You” shows two respected spitters demonstrating a superior command of hip-hop and the english language at large. Produced by K.R.I.T. himself, “Learn You” is a layered instrumental whose sentimental vibe facilitates their vulnerable raps.

Monday is expected to drop on August 30th through Mello Music Group.
