Off of his latest album, No Shame.

300’s most recent signee, Hopsin, dropped off his No Shame album last night, featuring an array of music demonstrating the artist’s versatile style and allure. One of the cuts, “Ill Mind of Hopsin 9”, recently received an accompanying visual treatment.

Starting off parodying the famous kids’ show Sesame Street’s counting segment, “Ill Mind of Hopsin 9” is directed towards Hopsin’s son, explaining the fallout between him and his child’s mother. Assigning blame to the mother, Hopsin uses this track to his palpable absence in his son’s life. Harboring similarities to a late ‘90s Eminem, conceptually and delivery-wise, “Ill Mind of Hopsin 9” is a sad tale of an estranged father looking to connect with his child, using music as one of his only means of connection.
