Freddie Gibbs & Madlib Tap Assassin For “Bandana”
The eponymous single for Freddie and Madlib’s upcoming collaborative album.
As Freddie Gibbs and Madlib prepare their upcoming collaborative endeavor, Bandana, the two have returned today (March 6th) with the project’s eponymous single featuring Assassin.
Following the album-announcing single, “Flat Tummy Tea,” “Bandana” finds the two’s chemistry fully-intact as they effortlessly complement each other’s styles to create an enticing single. Given their storied history, it’s no surprise that they’ve yet again delivered a memorable single.
Bandana marks the first Gibbs – Madlib joint project since the commercially and critically-acclaimed 2014 Piñanta. Five-years might have passed since this album’s release, but listening to “Bandana” and “Flat Tummy Tea,” these two have picked up right where they left off.
