DJ Premier Drops New ‘One Of the Best Yet’ Single; Reveals Album Tracklist

The new Gang Starr album is almost upon us.

DJ Premier is paying homage to his late brother, MC Guru, and their famed duo by releasing a new Gang Starr album, One Of The Best Yet, scheduled for a November 1st release. Today, Primo has come through with the album’s decorated tracklist, and released another single, “Bad Name.”

First announced through the J. Cole-assisted single, “Family And Loyalty,” the new track evokes sincere nostalgia given the friendly reminder of Guru’s iconic voice and flow. “Bad Name” is steeped in Golden Age vibes, and foreshadows a strong project to come.

One Of The Best is prime to enter legendary status given the names accompanying their journey: Q-Tip, Royce Da 5’9”, Talib Kwelli, Ne-Yo, and plenty more will be featured. The tracks will be an amalgamation of Premier’s staple production, posthumous MC Guru verses, and of course, a stacked guestlist of artists.
