Aesop Rock & Tobacco Release ‘Malibu Ken’
Malibu Ken comes through with their debut project.
One of the game’s most obscure MCs, Aesop Rock is known for weaving esoteric lyrics into his niche sound; he once rapped, “I’m a sovereignty columnist, fathering doom document. Cursed version of a certain Virgin Mary womb occupant,” on “Oxygen”. After releasing a couple of singles, Rock has come through with the long-promised Malibu Ken in collaboration with producer Tobacco–the level of Aesop Rock lyricism that we’ve grown accustomed to is bountiful.
