Action Bronson, ScHoolboy Q, Vince Staples, & Others to Perform at Mac Miller Festival Benefit
John Mayer, Ty Dolla $ign, and others will be there as well.
Mac Miller’s untimely passing ripped a hole throughout his vast sea of loving fans’ hearts, leaving an unfillable void in it tragic wake. A musician who consistently innovated and experimented to further hone his craft while propelling the genre forward, Mac wasn’t only adored by his loyal fan base, he was revered and respected by his peers.
After his passing, it wasn’t only the quantity of condolences posted from artists to their socials that was special–it was the quality of their posts. John Mayer’s alone is enough to make a grown man cry. Given the deep adulation he amassed from the industry and its players, it’s no surprise that his contemporaries wanted to do whatever they could to honor and memorialize him. Today, it was announced that a collection of Mac’s close collaborators–and some of music’s best current talents–will be throwing a charity festival in his honor, A Celebration of Life.
Taking place on October 31st in LA at the famed Greek Theatre, artists like Chance, Travis Scott, Action Bronson, ScHoolboy Q, Vince Staples, among many others. With all proceeds going to The Mac Miller Circles Fund, it’s clear he was held in high-esteem by fellow artists who want to do honor him one of the best ways they know how, the way Mac would’ve wanted to be honored–through music.
