Eminem Releases “Walk on Water”
Em might be at his most vulnerable here.
En route to his upcoming album, Eminem has dropped off Revival’s first single, “Walk on Water” featuring Beyoncé.
With unadulterated vulnerability, and classic Em acrobatic lyricism, Eminem begs for his fans to recognize him simply as human, just like they are. He is no God, no savior. Just a man with a knack for writing great raps. He’s completely cognizant of his career’s lackluster latter portion, and wants his fanbase to know that he’s trying, and most of all, he’s human. Beyoncé, in her typical fashion, beautifully sings the hook to give the song the proper emotional texture.
