The battle for New York continues.

Even though their haydey was long ago, 50 Cent and Jim Jones still find themselves at the center of hip-hop’s focus. With the latter coming off a strong release in his new album, Wasted Talent, and the former consistently expanding his swelling empire, the two have achieved impressive professional results post-hip-hop prime. While they’re experiencing individual success, recently they’ve been at the hip-hop media forefront for exchanging social media jabs.

Both known antagonizers of each other and respected, legendary New York rappers, 50 and Jim’s bad blood runs deep, and is set a tinderbox of aggression set to explode at any given minute. With their repeated traded barbs, it might blow sooner than later.

This recent bout was started when 50 mocked a photo that Jim shared on social media, showing off his body. With 50’s IG caption reading, “I ain’t been uptown in awhile, this is what Harlem looking like? Get the strap #lecheminduroi”, it’s clear that Fif is poking the bear. Jim responded in a light-hearted video, thanking 50 for the free publicity for his latest album, Wasted Talent.

A couple of more jabs were exchanged, including a video posted by 50 of Jones’ fellow Dipset member, Hell Rell, getting beat-up at a restaurant. But, for now, the only interactions have taken place digitally. The jury is out on whether or not they’ll actually square-up.

Boy if you don’t ‍♂️get the strap
