Lil Wayne Announces ‘Funeral’ Date

Lil Wayne’s discography is a storied affair, riddled with clever bars and iconic moments. But another signifier of his catalogue is the anticipation that goes into each release, whose swelling hype directly correlates with each successive drop. Such is the case for his long-awaited 13th studio album, Funeral. 

Now, the long-rumored album has officially received its release date; the legendary MC revealed that Funeral will arrive next Friday, January 31st.

Weezy took to Twitter yesterday (January 23rd), to make the announcement by posting a 30-second trailer accompanied by copy stating, “1/31.” He also posted a Funeral merch shop link.

Funeral follows Wayne’s 2018 Tha Carter V.
