Having already shared the title track and “Money Trees Deuce” from his forthcoming album 90059, Jay Rock returns with “Easy Bake” featuring fellow TDE alum Kendrick Lamar. The track was premiered on Shade 45 last night. Check out a radio rip below and be on the lookout for 90059.
Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar have both had themselves a very busy 2015 thus far. For Kendrick he’s dropped his highly-anticipated sophomore studio album in To Pimp a Butterfly and Kanye has kept himself busy with fashion, multiple interviews, “All Day”, a guest verse here and there and his new album So Help Me God is forthcoming. And now the two join forces on ‘Ye’s “All Day” remix. Kendrick Lamar provides a full verse despite the inital leak only containing a part of it. Kendrick Lamar had himself a field day at the 57th Grammy Awards, winning multiple awards for his new single “i.” But Kendrick season is approaching ever so closely, with TDE dropping another new cut. This time the happiness is left at the door and King Kendrick embraces the dark side, going completely ham for six minutes straight. Hip-hop heads everywhere rejoiced when Jay Rock dropped “Parental Advisory” earlier this month and now fans are getting a little extra something something with “Pay for It” featuring Top Dawg labelmate Kendrick Lamar. Last time we heard these two on a track was on Kendrick’s “Money Trees” in which Rock delivered one of the best guest verses that year. Something tells us “Pay for It” won’t disappoint.
