After dropping “I Might Need More Than 16 Tho” just two days ago, Joe Budden returns with an offering from his forthcoming Some Love Lost EP. “Alive” is a surprisingly emotional track, finding Budden spitting cathartic bars over a skittering instrumental with a swelling string section. When J Dilla suddenly passed away in 2006, at the tender age of 32, from cardiac arrest, the hip-hop community lost one of the greatest producers of all-time. That year Jay Dee left hip-hop one of the finest collections of instrumentals in Donuts. What made Donuts so special, besides it being released three days before J Dilla’s passing, was that it feels like such an intensely personal statement. Since its release, many have went on to use the instrumentals from Donuts (including Ghostface, Drake, Charles Hamilton, Skyzoo, and Talib Kweli). Now Nas is finally sharing his collaboration with Jay Dee as he raps over the “Gobstopper” beat. Listen after the jump!

Welp, that sure was fast. With Drake’s recent three song drop off (“6 God”, Heat of the Moment”, and “How Bout Now”) that sent waves throughout the ‘net we were expecting some freestyles to inevitably crop up. However, we weren’t expecting them to hit the blogs that fast! In what is expected to be the first of many freestyles/remixes for any of the three new Drake tracks, noted battle rapper Murda Mook went ahead and did it first. Mook shared his freestyle for Drake’s banger of the bunch, “6 God”. In the freestyle Mook snaps, even taking shots at the OVO songwriter. Peep it after the jump.
