New Music: Chief Keef – “Voodoo”

    chief-keef-voodoo
There’s never a shortage of Chief Keef music and with “Voodoo” he adds another one to his ever-growing catalog of work. On “Voodoo” Sosa teams up with producer KC Da Beatmonster where he raps without ever catching his breath. It’s strange, which by now is commonplace for Keef, and definitely worth a listen. Listen to “Voodoo” after the jump.

New Music: Fredo Santana – “Bricks”

    fredo-santana-bricks
After dropping “Bodies on the Ground” last December Fredo Santana returns to 2015 with “Bricks” an autotune-drenched cut. But if autotune isn’t your thing and you’re not feeling Fredo’s movement then peep the awesome cover art above. That’s Bobby Hill (from King of the Hill) with Fredo Santana’s signature tattoos. I guess that’s the only takeaway from this. Oh well. Peep Fredo Santana’s “Bricks” after the jump. Or just stare at that hilariously rad cover art above. Whatever you want.

New Music: Mick Jenkins – “11”

    mick-jenkins-11
Have you been fiending some new Mick Jenkins? Yeah, we have been too. Following his breakout mixtape The Water[s] from earlier this year Jenkins has been relatively quiet. Sure, he’s dropped some dope features here and there as well as various loosies (including the very good “Fate”) but we’ve been craving some solo Jenkins material. But it looks like today we’re receiving a treat in “11” a new solo Mick Jenkins cut. Produced by NIFDproductions, the powerful track is named after the amount of times Staten Island native Eric Garner said “I can’t breathe” before his untimely death at the hands of police officers. Listen to Mick Jenkins’ “11” after the jump.

    Video: SD – “Circles”

    Screen-Shot-2014-11-14-at-2.28.10-PM

With SD’s debut full length Truly Blessed on the way (purchase here via iTunes) the rising Chicago rapper delivers the visuals for his “Circles” single. Produced by Omen and AudioBLK, the video for “Circles” perfectly captures the whirlwind and subsequent sense of despair that is SD’s world. The video finds SD rapidly flailing about in the Lord’s house and riding around in a Bentley, contemplating his very existence. SD doesn’t hold back on Truly Blessed, it’s all meat and potatoes for the 20-year-old rapper, as he depicts the harsh realities of his upbringing in the Windy City. Going along with SD’s signature raw melody and grimy raps is production from Sonny Digital, Cash Money AP and more. Watch the video for SD’s “Circles” after the jump.
