    Black Milk

    Black-Milk

There was a time when Black Milk was coming up that fans still doubted his ability. At the beginning, there was only a handful of critics that really saw the Detroit producer/MC’s potential. After the release of his indie debut Popular Demand, any skeptics and fans not paying attention quickly began to take note, as Black Milk proved that he was not only adept at creating soulful bangers but that he could also drop some jewels over said bangers.

Some may know him, some may not but ever since the first time I heard Chaundon on Little Brother's 2005 classic album, The Minstrel Show, I've been a fan of his work. Whenever he was featured on a song you knew he would bring punchlines, energetic rhymes, and comedy. When most artists tell you that you need their music, you’re probably most likely to give the artist a half-hearted shrug and make your way to the nearest exit. Freddie Gibbs

    freddie-gibbs

To classify Freddie Gibbs as “real” is to oversimplify what the Gary, Indiana product represents. Yes, Gangsta Gibbs earned the “real” title by spitting raw street tales that remind the rest of us we’re lucky to not have a problem with the man. But there’s much more to Freddie than that. When you listen to his music, you’ll find much more than hard beats to complement hard rhymes. You’ll find a man who knows what it’s like to experience first-hand the ups and downs of life and is constantly striving to make things better for himself and his family, which is consistent with the true definition of what it means to be real.

    Killah Priest

You’ve been on the road a lot with R.A. the Rugged Man and Ghostface Killah. How’s the road treating you?

The road is a great experience. It’s therapy for me and it should be for any artist, I think, that’s on the road, man. It’s just therapy.

    Ayatollah

    1-TollahStairs

Whenever anyone mentions soulful loops and hard drums, a number of producers come to mind. However, only a few are able to take a sample and create an entirely different vibe. Legends like DJ Premier, Buckwild and Large Professor come to mind. However, if Ayatollah is not on that same list, something is wrong.
