    Lil Wayne has been dropped by soda brand Mountain Dew, two days after apologizing to Emmett Till’s family for making a degrading reference on Future’s “Karate Chop” (“Pop a lot of pain pills, ’bout to put rims on my skateboard wheels … beat that pussy up like Emmett Till”).

    “We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward,” a Mountain Dew spokesperson tells wrote in a statement. “His offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”  (more…)
