    New Music: Pusha T – “Untouchables”

    Earlier in the week, Pusha T announced the release of his forthcoming studio album — and followup to 2013’s excellent My Name Is My NameKing Push. Furthermore, the new president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label shared the lyrics from the album’s first single, “Untouchables”, which has references to Netflix’ hit show “Narcos”, CrossFit, and even presidential hopeful Donald Trump.     After sharing “Fuckin’ Up the Count” last month, Indiana’s first rate emcee Freddie Gibbs — returning under the Gangsta Gibbs moniker — is sharing two new cuts from his forthcoming, highly-anticipated new mixtape, Shadow of a Doubt. The pair of tracks, “Extradite” (featuring Black Thought) and “Packages”, showcases Gibbs’ rough around the edges sound — all the way down to the banging, menacing production — which is a welcome return following his excursions with Madlib on Pinata.     New Music: J. Cole Remixes A Tribe Called Quest’s “Can I Kick It?”

    Legendary hip-hop outfit, A Tribe Called Quest (Q-Tip, Phife, Ali Shaheed Muhammed and Jarobi), is gearing up a 25th anniversary celebration of their landmark album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm with an brand spankin’ new, mastered reissuing of the album. In addition, the reissue is looking to deliver with bonus treats — a trio of tributes from some big names: Cee-Lo Green remixing “Footprints”, Pharrell with “Bonita Applebum” and J. Cole remaking “Can I Kick It?” Tonight, we have Dreamville’s J. Cole doing a rendition of “Can I Kick It?” and, well, you have to hear it be believe it. Check out J.
