Solid-built, I think it's the standard ALPs x-fader, fairly smooth. The x-fade assign is great & I find myself using that a lot when I'm switching thru inputs. The upfaders are too tight though to do any quick cutting, but they work well with doing fades & fake delays. Lots of inputs & great 5-band eq. Wish the stereo channels were pannable so I could do some speaker to speaker tricks. Wish there was an effects out/in chain too. Overall: great mixer for the price if you are needing to hook-up muliple devices as well as your tables (table 1, table 2, cd player, sub mix to pa from other instruments & mics). This is NOT a portable mixer though. Buy it if you have a place to mount it & leave it set-up (I have everything mounted into one coffin.) Feel free to ask me any questions about it.
