Jay-Z got the "MVP of the Year" award while Drake won "Rookie of the Year."

Ice Cube received the "I Am Hip-Hop" icon award.


Among the performances, Jay-Z and Young Jeezy did "Real as It Gets" and Goodie Mob performed its 1995 song "Cell Therapy."

Kanye West was a no show, according to reports, he is to head to a Hindu retreat in a bid to escape the public spotlight.
