iMG Recordings (Universal Music Group) and Full Eclipse Entertainment have finalized negotiations for the signing of Hartford, CT-based rapper Opium Black to a multi-album marketing and distribution deal with the first project scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2008 under Opium Black’s Heist International Records imprint. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“We are excited to have Opium become a part of our movement and are going to make his project one of our top priorities for the coming year,” iMG Recordings CEO Rick Robinson said. Other recent notable iMG signees include the East Side Boyz and Crunchy Black, formerly of 3-6 Mafia.
