 Interview

When and how did you guys meet?

Big D: We met about 6 years ago down in the studio thru a group called sons of sacrifice.

What made you want to work together?

Jim: He just was so different from me. He brought that soulful real R&B sound and I brought that Down South street sound. It makes us very versatile.

What unique skills do each of you bring?

Big D: We both do it all! From engineering to writing…Everything!

What's the first thing you do when you start a beat?

Jim: Sometimes we start with Drums sometimes we start with keys. But most of the times we start with instruments.

What are your favorite sounds to use?

Big D: 808 and guitars

What sets your style apart from others?

Jim: We blend a lot of Rock N Roll with hip hop and R&B.

How do you know when you've finished a beat?

When it's mixed and mastered.

Did you have any trouble clearing the sample for "Let's Go?"

No. Ozzy was very generous in the clearing of that sample…He loved it!

What's it like working with Trick Daddy?

Trick is real cool he's a good dude. He's very unique.

What is a Trick Daddy studio session like?

A lot of video games and fun. It's like going to the studio with your homeboy and just chillin…It's not even work to us

What about Trina?

Trina is real nice. She does her work she's in and out.

Whatever happened to Deuce Poppi?

That's my dog. His single is getting buzz right now produced by us called "Down South" feat. Pitbull and Plies..look out for that.

What else are you guys working on?

This group Prettie Rickie who is signed to Atlantic. We produced 80% of their album including their first hit single Grind with me which as of today is the second most added song to radio in the country. Also were working with Kelis, Trick Daddy new album, Pitbull new album, Plies, Teedra Moses (TVT), Trina, Bleu Davinci (BMF), Jackie-O,Static, Troy Taylor, Christina Aguilera, and Outkast and DMX just called asking for tracks…

How can MC's get at you for a beat?

Call Mr. Michael Blumstein at Chase Management at 305-534-8158 or call Roc at 786-487-8723 email: urboyroc@aol.com
