First off, can you give Heads some background as to who you are and where you’re coming from?

Peace world, they call me Mr. Reck –aka- Shawn Archer, and M-Reck. I was born and raised in Brooklyn East New York. I’ve been spittin' since 13 years old and featured on several mix-tapes like DJ Wats, Cut Master C, P.F. Cuttin' and Tony Touch 50 Emcee's (Power Cipher).

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as aggressive, intense, straight forward, direct and overall original. I'm an independent artist as well as a CEO of my up and coming company called “Gutta Muzic”.

Can you talk about your company, Gutta Muzic, and what's good with that?

This is a company that's built on integrity, originality and determination. Gutta Muzic also focuses on distributing Mix-tapes. We currently distribute for DJ Uneek, DJ Wats and a New Roster of disc jockeys Gutta Muzic brought to the game. Plus Gutta Muzic puts out our own series of Mix-tapes to the public. We distribute to many of the “Moms and Pops” stores through out the U.S. and some spots over seas.

You got a bangin joint with Jaz-O, what's it like working with him and how did that come about?

I just did a song with the legendary Jaz- O who came thru and blessed me with a verse for several Mix-tapes hittin’ the streets. It came out crazy, especially since that was our first time working together and it came out Blazin'.

I understand you just knocked out a track with a known artist, what was that like?

I don't want to jinx myself as to who the person is because she’s on a real political label. Either this week or next we’re gonna knock that joint out. All I could say is we from the same hood and she was just in a group that got discontinued.

What's the next move for Mr. Reck?

First, Gutta Muzic will finish and release the “Gutta Muzic” (titled of the same name) Compilation. Second, the focus will be on the Mr. Reck Lp. I’m very versatile when it comes to this music industry, I don’t want to only be known as an artist but also someone who modes new Artist, new producers, graphic designers webmasters, Comedians, and Designers. Expand my Distribution for Gutta Muzic, into a joint venture or a P&D deal with an independent or major label. To give you a few examples; TVT Records, or Koch, Land speed (traffic) etc, but I’ll still have creative control.

When people hear your name, what do you want them to think and why?

When people hear Mr. Reck I want them to envision a complete Artist, dope Lyricist/ Entrepreneur who went against the rules, and gave inspiration and opportunity to his Community and the people around him.

If you could rhyme with anyone, who would it be and why?

Redman, cause of his aggressiveness and he still sounds hungry today. Plus He's an Ill lyricist who is underrated.
