Mr.
Hyde - Barn of the Naked Dead
Mr. Hyde is not your typical MC. The Elmherst, Queens native is not
one to be fucked with. Signed to Psychological Records, expect some
hardcore rhymes coming from Necro's protégé.
Necro handles the production on here, as he produces many gritty backdrops
for Mr. Hyde to paint his crazy pictures on. The gritty track "On
the Prowl" has a crazy piano sound while Hyde introduces himself
to the world. "Say My Name" is one of my favorite tracks,
as Hyde enlists the help of "Little Britney" to sing a hauntingly
catchy chorus "Hyde Hyde Mr. Hyde, everybody hide it's Mr. Hyde."
Necro's production stands out, as well as the guest appearance by Ill
Bill on "Street Veteran Part 2." This is a very hardcore album,
and it's not for everyone. This is a strong offering from Mr. Hyde,
if you are a fan of Ill Bill and Necro, you will not be disappointed.
