Fokis - Fully Focused: The Mixtape

From my experience, when you hear someone from the Lower East Side, they're either going to be fire or completely wack. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of room in the middle like other boroughs. Lucky for Fokis he falls on the fire side. The mixtape gets started off with guns ablazin' on "Back on da Block" and "Code of the Streets" as Fokis proves why he's not the one, in his words, "to be toyed with." G. Rap comes through for a legendary collaboration on "Throwback," where Fokis knows he has to bring his A-game at the risk of being completely shut down. Aftermath's Focus (and host of the mixtape) drops some fire in the form of hard drums on "About Dat Doe," which is one of the strongest tracks I've heard from Fokis. Unfortunately that track leads into "Oh Girl," Fokis's attempt at getting the females' attention. That's cool if you like those sort of tracks, but that's getting skipped over. Fokis rips the "Keep It Thoro" beat, proving that he does indeed know how to keep it thorough. Tru Life, who Fokis engineers for when he's not in the booth, comes through with brother Seven Dirty for "Handle B.I.," a track that's sure to give little kids and grown men nightmares. While there may be a lot of Focus's running around rapping, Fokis makes a convincing effort on why he's the only one you should fokis on.
