L & Ron Browz - Browz Through This
Who is Ron Browz? If you're an up coming MC in the greater NY area your fiedin'
for one of his beats. The average hip hop fan may not know but I think most
know Mr. Browz as the man that produced Nas' "Ether". He's actually
been around for a minute and is now the talk of the town. DJ L got his most
cancerous tracks and put them on one CD for everyone to "Browz" through.
I'm not even gonna comment on Ether because truth be told, the shit wasn't that
hot to me. The track that jumps out at me right away is "Ebonics"
by Big L. I can listen to this shit all day, RIP Big L. The current in the now
beat that I fucks with is "I'll Whip Ya Head Boy". This joint is concrete
all day everyday, like droppin' a brick in you cars CD player. The sleeper joint
by Mr. Browz is "Is This My Life" by A Team and Joe Buddens. Man this
beat is raw and striped to the bone and comes off tailor made for A Team.
After peepin' this CD a few times straight through it's more than evident Ron
Browz has an impressive resume of tracks. For real though, just peep the track
list and it's all there. DJ L holds the CD together well, limited talking and
Ron Browz actually hosts and holds down spots. If you still don't feel like
your a Ron Browz fan then peep Joe Buddens on "Old School Mouse".
This is the best Joe Buddens has sounded to me and its what Mr. Browz brings
to the table every time.
