According to Newton the Earth is continuously applying an attraction force upon the moon, it doesn't explain the source of the energy that the earth consumes in applying this force, we know that in order to apply force you need energy, so is the earth creating this energy? is it converting its mass to energy? is it getting its energy from some other source?? this puts a question mark to both the Newtonian Laws and the Law of Conservation of Energy, neither can be proven, but they are practical, seeing that all of our so called technology is based on them, so for something to be practical its doesn't really have to be proven.
